Each week, a Word of the Week (WOW) is displayed for students. The tempo speedometer and the dynamics meter help us to think about our musical elements. Visual aids assist ELL students and students with special needs.

Quiet Un-Interrupted Listening Time Each week, students listen to an excerpt of world music. As the weeks progress, more musical elements are added to the board. Students record their inquiries and observations in a listening journal.

Preparing for our recorder unit. The iPods are placed all around the room and have different music elements written on them. Students catalog our classroom songs and create "playlists" to show examples of the different elements we have studied.
