Andrew Arcello is a native of Bristol, Rhode Island in the USA. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education/Voice at Providence College, Mr. Arcello began his teaching career as the Choral Director at Somerset Berkley Regional High School. There, he directed choirs at all levels, musical theatre productions, and taught courses in vocal pedagogy, acoustic guitar, and music theory. Under his direction, the choral program grew to include curricular and co-curricular choirs, encouraging students of all abilities and levels to share the great gift of choral singing. Mr. Arcello went on to earn a Master of Music degree in Music Education/Choral Conducting from the College of Fine Arts at Boston University. He worked in the community as a church music director and religious education director. He continues to return home each summer to direct a fine and performing arts summer camp for local students at the historic Linden Place Museum. In 2012, Mr. Arcello decided to continue his teaching abroad and joined the faculty at MEF International School in Istanbul, Turkey as the IB PYP music teacher.  After moving to Dubai, Mr. Arcello taught music to an international population of students at Dubai American Academy in the UAE. He worked with choral ensembles with the GEMS Music Academy select choirs. He believes in music as a cross-curricular subject, allowing students to gain skills in languages, cultural histories, coordination, and movement.  His passions for cooking, traveling, and photography keep him busy exploring this great world that we share. He is currently pursuing a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Advanced Educational Leadership from the University of New England in Portland, Maine, USA. The Arcellos make their permanent home in a suburb of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
